Hall B.1

The historical exhibition hall B, an architectural jewel from the 19th century, has had a fascinating journey. Originally from Prague, it was moved to Innsbruck in 1892. Its imposing steel construction, reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower, gives it an airy yet robust appearance. It was presented for the first time at the General Land Centennial Exhibition in Prague before being disassembled and transported across the Austro-Hungarian Empire to be re-erected in Innsbruck.

The listed hall is divided into two levels with a total of more than 7,300 square metres, which are connected by escalators. Hall B.0 refers to the area on the ground floor, HallB.1 to the exhibition space on the first floor. The roof construction lets in ample daylight and grants spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Its large window panels can also be darkened. The adjacent Hall C expands Hall B.1 perfectly.
