INTERALPIN 2025 extended to four days

The 25th edition of INTERALPIN, the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies, will be extended to 4 days and will therefore take place from 6 to 9 May 2025.

Record edition 2023: 35,000 visitors, 130 nations, 650 exhibiting companies

Following the successful conclusion of INTERALPIN 2023, the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies has made a welcome announcement: The 25th edition of the international ropeway industry get-together, which takes place every two years, will be held over a 4-day period for the first time in 2025. This new time frame will extend from Tuesday, 6 May to Friday, 9 May 2025 and is intended to provide a more comprehensive offering and optimise visitor flows. In April 2023, over 35,000 international trade visitors from around 130 countries confirmed INTERALPIN's role as the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies. Compared to the previous event, INTERALPIN recorded growth of around 20 per cent in the number of high-calibre international trade visitors from almost 130 nations. Around 650 exhibitors presented the latest innovations and key developments in the industry.

In view of the strong demand, Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI), the organiser of INTERALPIN, together with industry leaders, have decided to extend the 25th edition of the trade fair by one day in May 2025. Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of CMI, emphasises: ‘Recreation and exercise in natural areas and mobility in urban areas are becoming increasingly important and the demand for efficient, safe and sustainable solutions is growing. The exhibitors at INTERALPIN are focussing on this with their extraordinary innovative strength. I am delighted that, together with the market-leading companies, we are now able to offer an ideal international framework for the meeting of supply and demand as well as many supporting organisations and institutions over four days. As part of the industry, we are very much looking forward to the 25th edition of INTERALPIN, the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies, in 2025.’

Additional opportunities for networking and content are created

The opening of INTERALPIN 2025 will take place as part of the Austrian Cable Car Conference of the Austrian Cable Car Association on Tuesday, 6 May 2025. The INTERALPIN Gala Evening is also planned for the first day of the trade fair. At the INTERALPIN Inspiration Days on the second and third days, trade visitors will have the opportunity to take part in presentations and discussions on industry topics such as innovation, marketing, digitalisation and sustainability. The INTERALPIN 2025 programme is tailored to the target groups and offers an international industry network meeting as well as a member seminar of the International Association of Ropeway Manufacturers OITAF. Stefan Kleinlercher, INTERALPIN Project Manager, emphasises: ‘The extension of INTERALPIN will provide greater added value for international trade visitors. There will be additional opportunities for intensive discussions and a high-quality visit to the trade fair. Planning for the INTERALPIN Gala as part of the 25th edition from 6 to 9 May 2025 is already in full swing and we are looking forward to this small anniversary.’
