Incentives and inspiration for Austria’s hotel industry
28.01.2025
Innsbruck was the meeting place for the Austrian hotel industry from 22 to 24 January 2025: 650 trade participants took part in the ÖHV Congress in the centre of Austria's strongest tourist region.
What characterises the guest of tomorrow?
The Congress offered a comprehensive programme of lectures, workshops and networking opportunities under the motto ‘New paths, new guests’. The focus was on topics such as the shortage of skilled labour, future guest structures and technological innovations. The organisers were satisfied with the successful event in the alpine-urban centre of Austria's strongest tourism region. ‘Innsbruck once again proved to be the perfect host and provided the ideal stage for this year's congress,’ emphasised Walter Veit, President of the ÖHV. Top speakers provided inspiration and lively discussions about trends and best practice examples. The congress was accompanied by an attractive supporting programme in Innsbruck, which combined networking and regional highlights.
Innsbruck as a hub for the hotel and catering industry
Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI), and Barbara Plattner, Managing Director of Innsbruck Tourismus, emphasise that the congress underlines the importance of tourism for the region. Following the successful ÖHV Congress, the focus is now turning to FAFGA MEETS FUTURE from 15 to 17 September 2025, when Messe Innsbruck will once again become a platform for innovation and exchange in the tourism industry, with live demos, exciting presentations and networking opportunities.
